ARTIST RESIDENCY AT ABA HOUSE IN GHANA
July 10 - July 23, 2024
Cost US $2,400.00
At Aba House artists work collaboratively with local artists. We will meet you at the airport - give you a room & breakfast plus dinner - take you to galleries - museums - traditional villages - outdoor markets - include you in workshops - party with traditional drummers & dancers - interact with our Ghanaian friends & neighbors, and go home with a new understanding of yourself and African culture.
not included: transport to Ghana & related expenses/lunch/tips
COST: US $2,400.00
Deposit of $1,000.00 due on or before April 1, 2024
Balance due on or before May 1, 2024

We are a pretty much self funded non-profit. Fees for workshops and tours support our two-fold mission of training local children to be self sufficient by developing their sense of self-esteem and empowerment. By paying school related expenses we encourage the children to stay in school and become productive members of society. We also work with indigenous artisans, pay them to conduct workshops at our residencies and help them sell their traditional crafts. In order to achieve our mission, the fees also cover expenses like internet access, cost of supplies and general expenses that support our programs.
